About us
We are from Vilassar

Vilassar is a privilege we must all look after.
There is a day when it all begins
In 1936, my grandparents, Maria and Josep, arrived in Vilassar de Mar with their three children, fleeing a turbulent Barcelona. They settled at Camí Ral, 8, the very house where Viure a Vilassar has its headquarters today. After the war, they kept coming back every summer until, over the years, they decided to make it their permanent home.
In 1962, my parents, Anita and Josep, made the same decision: to make Vilassar the best place to raise a family. In this very house the four of us siblings grew up; we were lucky to do so in a quiet, safe town, in touch with the sea and the beach, in a setting that defined a way of living and relating to one another that has marked us forever.
Today I have the privilege of continuing to live here with Anna and our two children, and also of working here, in daily contact with the people and the life of the town.
Admittedly, Vilassar has grown and become a small city, but without entirely losing the village essence that makes it special. The closeness between people, the local shops, the community life and the balance between sea and mountains, all within easy reach of Barcelona.
A small city that keeps an unusual balance between its people and its land.
Viure a Vilassar is born of this love, of the knowledge of the place and of the will to help other people find their home here. Because we know what it means to live here and the privilege it represents to do so without having to give up anything.
